In Greater London, we’ve already brought magic to life by granting 3,160 life-changing wishes. But right now, 103 children across the region are still waiting for their wish to come true. These wishes reflect their hopes and dreams – from meeting the Arsenal football team and having an RAF experience, to getting a Tobii Dynavox device or visiting West Midlands Safari Park.

With your support, we can turn these dreams into reality and create moments of joy and hope for children who need them most. Just like we did for Monty.

A leukaemia diagnosis was the last thing that Monty’s parents, Jodie and Giles, expected to receive for their once active little boy. At just five years old, Monty has had to be incredibly brave while undergoing treatment—just like his favourite TV character, Fireman Sam! So when he was asked what his wish would be, the answer was easy: to be a firefighter for the day.

Thanks to the generous support of the public and our partners, Monty’s wish became a reality. He suited up in his own firefighter uniform, rode in a fire engine with the sirens blazing, and even helped "put out" a practice fire. For a day, he wasn’t a patient—he was a hero.

After seeing the impact of his wish, Monty’s mum Jodie shared, "It's really important that children like Monty get given the opportunity to be rewarded for their bravery and hard work. He’s also missed out on so much while being in hospital—so his wish really helped!"
