DPD - Region 3

DPD are proud to support Make-A-Wish UK as their charity partner. Together, we are granting life-changing wishes to critically ill children across the UK.

About Make-A-Wish

Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts.

Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Elliott's Wish

Eight-year-old Elliott lives with molybdenum cofactor deficiency (MoCD) - type A, a rare, progressive condition. Even on the toughest days, Fireman Sam brings him comfort and joy. So, Elliott wished ‘to be a firefighter’.

With help from Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, his wish came true in an amazing way. Elliott arrived at the station with his family, ready for a day of firefighter fun. He met the crew, rode in the fire engine, held the hose, and was treated like one of the team.

“The experience boosted Elliott's confidence. We're unsure if he will ever be able to get a real job in the future, but this gave him that experience, and now his dream of being a fireman has come true.” Elliott’s mum
