In Scotland, we’ve already brought magic to life by granting 1,426 life-changing wishes. But right now, 76 children across Scotland are still waiting for their wish to come true. These wishes reflect their hopes and dreams – from watching a Rangers vs Celtic match and spending a day on a ScotRail train, to starring in a scary movie or having a flying experience in a plane.
With your support, we can turn these dreams into reality and create moments of joy and hope for children who need them most. Just like we did for Alyssia.
Five-year-old Alyssia spent much of her early years in and out of the hospital after being diagnosed with acute liver failure—an experience that meant, as her mum put it, she "missed out on so much." But there was one dream that kept her spirits high—becoming a real-life princess for a day.
Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Alyssia’s dream became a reality. Dressed in a beautiful gown and wearing her very own crown, she was treated like royalty. "She loves princesses," her mum said. "She often dreamt of being a real-life princess for the day." The experience brought her a sense of normality, helping her reclaim a piece of childhood lost to illness.
