In the West Midlands, we’ve already brought magic to life by granting 1,601 life-changing wishes for children living with critical conditions. But right now, 93 children across the region are still waiting for their wish to come true. These wishes reflect their hopes and dreams – from grooming and caring for horses, to being a director and actor in an animation movie, going to the zoo or scuba diving at the beach, or having a bedroom upgrade.

Before being diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, seven-year-old Dulcie from Shropshire was very shy and quiet. Now, her mum Debra says, “She’s not scared of anything now, if she can face cancer, she can face anything!” Dulcie’s wish was to see Britain’s Got Talent live, a show she loved watching in hospital. Thanks to Make-A-Wish UK, Dulcie had the chance to walk the red carpet like a star, with paparazzi calling her name and capturing her special moment, before sitting in the VIP audience and enjoying the show in person. It was a dream come true and a moment of pure joy for Dulcie and her family during such a difficult time
