⭐️💙Howard Primary School has come on board to support Walk the Wish Line NI💙⭐️

💙 💫Delighted to share that Howard Primary School is supporting Walk the Wish Line NI in aid of Make-A-Wish UK.💙💫

As a former pupil, I contacted Mrs McWilliams earlier this year to share the incredible work Make-A-Wish does for children living with critical illnesses here in NI. Looking back on my own happy school memories, I realise how fortunate I was to enjoy the simple joys of childhood that many seriously ill children can miss out on.

That’s why this cause means so much to me. Wishes bring hope, joy and precious memories to children and families during some of their toughest times.

On Friday 19th June, pupils will take part in a non-uniform day to help raise funds for children across Northern Ireland who are waiting for their wish to be granted. They may even help Mrs Hardy add a few extra miles to her total! 👟😊

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs McWilliams, Mrs Hardy, the staff, pupils and families for your kindness and support. Together, we’re helping bring a little magic to children who need it most. 💙💫

💙⭐ 51 CHILDREN ARE STILL WAITING… LET’S KEEP GOING ⭐💙 TARGET INCREASE 🤞🥹💙⭐️

What started as a little idea, a few sleepless nights and a lot of wishful thinking has already grown into something far bigger than I dared to hope for. 🥹💙

When I first thought about Walk The Wish Line NI I honestly hoped we might raise £1,000. With your incredible support we then dared to aim for £2,500 which is enough to help grant a child’s wish here in Northern Ireland.

I never imagined I’d be sitting here already talking about increasing the target but THANKS to you here we are. 💙⭐

Today, we’ve not only reached that goal we’ve surpassed it in raising an amazing £2,640 so far! 🎉

I want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, encouraged us and supported us. Every pound raised is going to help to create hope, strength and unforgettable memories for children facing critical illness and their families across Northern Ireland. 💙

Because of the amazing generosity so far and after some gentle encouragement by my team🤪 I’m now setting sights on £5,000 - enough to help grant two children’s wishes. ⭐⭐

51 children across Northern Ireland are waiting for their wish to be granted. For me, one child waiting is one too many. 💔

There have definitely been a few tears because I know the difference this support will make for children and families across Northern Ireland waiting for their wish.

What started as a “wild notion” of trying to raise £1,000 has been completely knocked out of the park thanks to everyone’s support 💙, encouragement 💪 and generosity ⭐️.

⭐ And the most incredible part?

Not even one week into this challenge, together we have already raised enough to fund the wish of one child here in Northern Ireland. ⭐

That is simply incredible🥹

The draw for TWO FREE 6-month HD Fitness memberships will take place on 9th June and we want to wish the very best of luck to everyone who entered. 🤞

💙The Need for SUPPORT across Northern Ireland continues to GROW💙

As of late afternoon today (3 June 2026), there are now 51 Wish Children in Northern Ireland waiting for their wishes to be granted.

That’s 51 children facing critical illness.

51 families holding onto hope.

51 magical wishes still waiting to come true. 💔

Each wish costs a minimum of £2,500 and creates precious memories, moments of joy and something truly special for children and their families during some of the hardest times of their lives.

• 33 wishes have already been granted in Northern Ireland so far this financial year (Sept 2025 – Aug 2026).

• 1,509 wishes have been granted in Northern Ireland overall.

For me, these aren’t just numbers. I think about every Wish Child and family I’ve met over the years. Sometimes I’ll drive past a house and instantly remember a conversation, a smile or a special moment shared with that family.

Every child waiting has a story, a battle they are facing and a wish that deserves to come true. 💫

With your support through donations and by sharing this post to raise awareness, you can help make these wishes possible for local children here in Northern Ireland.

This June, my team of family and friends are taking on Walk the Wish Line NI in support of Make-A-Wish UK walking 710 miles collectively to help grant life-changing wishes for critically ill children here in NI 💙

Some of us are seasoned walkers…

Others are just hoping our legs survive the journey 😂

But every single mile is being walked with Heart ❤️ Determination 💪 and Purpose👣✨

We might be slightly mad 🤪

There will definitely be blisters.

And there’s a very high chance of complaining along the way… 😅

But WISHES MATTER 💫

They bring hope, joy, strength, and unforgettable memories to children and families when they need them most 💙

We’ll share a few updates along the way (without bombarding you all too much 😂) although if you aren’t already sick of us… prepare yourselves 👀💙
